Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 30, 2026
App Name: Sudoku Cosmos
Developer: CiddiPumpkin

1. 📌 Summary

Sudoku Cosmos does not require a separate game account. Game progress is stored on your device, with an optional manual backup to your Apple iCloud account. We do not send your game records to a developer-operated server.

The app uses Google AdMob for advertising and contacts Apple to check for app updates. If you email us, we receive the information you include in your message. These services and choices are explained below.

2. 💾 Information Stored on Your Device

The app stores information needed to run the game and preserve your progress, including:

The app does not request access to your contacts, photo library, precise location, or Apple account password.

3. ☁️ Optional Manual iCloud Backup

When you select the iCloud save option in Settings and confirm, the app uploads a snapshot of your game records and current puzzle to the app’s private CloudKit database for your signed-in Apple account. The snapshot includes a save date and data format version. Each confirmed save replaces the previous snapshot; this is not automatic synchronization.

The app temporarily uses an app-scoped account identifier supplied by CloudKit to check that the same Apple account is being used. It does not request your Apple account name or email address.

Restoring a backup requires your confirmation and replaces the game records on the current device. Previously redeemed promotion codes on that device are retained to prevent duplicate rewards. You can restore the snapshot on another device signed in to the same Apple account. Apple processes iCloud data under its Privacy Policy and applicable iCloud terms.

4. 📊 Advertising and Google AdMob

Sudoku Cosmos displays banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads through the Google Mobile Ads SDK. To provide ads, measure performance, analyze usage, and prevent fraud, Google may process:

The information processed depends on SDK configuration, device settings, and applicable consent status. On iOS, access to the advertising identifier (IDFA) requires your App Tracking Transparency permission. You can change that permission in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Refusing tracking permission does not prevent basic gameplay, and ads may still appear; it does not stop all ad-related data processing.

For more information, see Google’s Privacy Policy, Google’s advertising information, and Google Mobile Ads SDK data disclosures.

5. 🔄 App Update Checks

At app launch, Sudoku Cosmos contacts Apple’s app lookup service using the app’s bundle identifier and a country code derived from your device’s region setting. Apple also receives normal network request information, such as your IP address. The app compares the returned version with the installed version and checks iOS compatibility on your device. Your puzzle progress and game records are not included in this request.

If a newer compatible version is confirmed, the app asks you to update before continuing. Apple’s handling of request information is covered by its Privacy Policy.

6. 📮 Email Support and Privacy Requests

The Contact us option opens an email draft addressed to plander.cs@gmail.com. The draft includes your device model, app version, and operating system version to help us investigate issues. You can review and edit the draft before sending it. The app does not send the message automatically.

If you send an email, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to include. We use this information to respond to your inquiry and handle your request. Your email provider also processes the message under its own policies.

For privacy questions or requests to access, correct, or delete information, contact plander.cs@gmail.com. Depending on the request, we may need to verify your identity or direct you to Apple or Google for data they control.

7. 🗂️ Retention and Deletion

Game records remain on your device while the app uses them. Deleting the app removes its local app data; offloading the app or restoring a device backup may preserve or restore data.

Deleting the app does not necessarily delete an iCloud snapshot. You can review the available controls in your Apple account and iCloud storage settings; options vary by operating system and service. The app currently has no separate in-app command to delete its CloudKit snapshot.

Support correspondence is retained as needed to respond to requests, resolve issues, and meet applicable obligations. Apple, Google, and email providers determine retention and deletion of information they process under their own policies.

8. 📝 Changes to This Policy

We may revise this policy when app features or data practices change. We will update the date on this page and provide appropriate notice of material changes.
